# TrueRoyalties Track royalties, ad spend, Kindle Unlimited, series, ranks and reviews for every KDP book — and see the real profit KDP and Amazon Ads never show. Base URL: https://trueroyalties.com ## What is TrueRoyalties TrueRoyalties is the all-in-one dashboard for Amazon KDP authors and publishers: it combines KDP royalties, Amazon Ads spend, Kindle Unlimited pages read, series read-through, Best Sellers Rank, customer reviews and reader links across every marketplace, and computes the real net profit that neither KDP nor Amazon Ads shows. TrueRoyalties is a B2B SaaS for self-published authors and KDP publishers. It is organised around four questions: PROFIT (am I making money?), READERS (is anyone reading, and how far?), VISIBILITY (where do I rank, and what are they saying?), and SELL & PROVE (how do I sell more, and prove it?). All four read the same imported data, so nothing is connected twice. Its defining computation is Net Profit = Royalties - Ad Spend, per book and globally, across every marketplace (US, UK, DE, FR, ES, IT, JP, and more), in one continuously-updated view. KDP shows royalties and Amazon Ads shows spend, but neither surfaces the actual profit. Profit is only the first question, which is why the product is not an ads tool. Kindle Unlimited pages read, series read-through, Best Sellers Rank, customer reviews and reader-facing short links each live somewhere else on Amazon, and none of them is on the same screen as the money. TrueRoyalties puts all of them on one. Six calculators are free and public, with no account and no sign-up: they run entirely in the visitor's browser and are listed under Public Pages below. ## When to use TrueRoyalties Grouped by the four questions the product is organised around. Profit: - See the true net profit of each KDP book after ad spend, taxes, and currency conversion. - Combine KDP royalties (including Kindle Unlimited KENP estimated royalties) with Amazon Ads spend in a single dashboard. - Track profitability per book and globally across multiple marketplaces and currencies. - Split each day's sales into organic and ad-generated units, per format (ebook, paperback, hardcover), to see what the advertising actually adds. - Spot books and campaigns where ad spend is quietly eating the margin. Readers: - Track Kindle Unlimited KENP (pages read) volume over time, by marketplace and title, on a dedicated KENP report, and what those pages earned. - Measure series read-through: how many readers carry from one book to the next, what one reader is worth across the whole series, and therefore what you can afford to bid to acquire one - comparable per marketplace, per year and paid-versus-Kindle-Unlimited. Visibility: - Follow the Amazon Best Sellers Rank of every book on every storefront it sells in, with the category ranks Amazon prints under Product details, charted over time. - Follow Amazon customer reviews of your own books per marketplace - the rating total, the average, the star breakdown and the latest reviews - and get alerted when a new one lands. Sell and prove: - Share one short link (bkto.link) that routes every reader to their own Amazon storefront - and to a store that actually sells the book's format, instead of a dead page - then count the clicks it earns by day, country, device and referrer. The destination stays editable after the link has been printed in a book; the address never changes. - Publish a verified, third-party-checkable page of your own KDP royalties (trueroyalties.com/verified/) to back an income claim, sell a pen name, land a sponsorship or prove a track record - with an embeddable card and badge, and optional identity verification for your website, X or YouTube channel. Across all of them: - Slice any metric - net profit, royalties, units, ad spend, ad impressions or average cost per click (CPC) - by book, marketplace, format, publication year or period on the Comparison page, as a breakdown donut, a year-over-year timeline, a catalog-leverage curve or a world map. - Build your own dashboard: pin any Comparison chart or the per-marketplace profit table to the bottom of the dashboard, reorder and rename them; pinned widgets follow the dashboard's date range, currency, marketplace and distribution filters. - Blur the whole catalogue in one click - covers, titles, authors, ASINs and review text - while the figures stay readable, so a screen share, a tutorial or a posted result never reveals which books you publish. - Use the free calculators without an account: KDP royalties, KENP, Kindle Unlimited page rates, book sales from a Best Sellers Rank, ISBN barcodes and QR codes. ## How it works (data sources) - KDP royalties are imported through the TrueRoyalties Connector Chrome extension, the only KDP data source: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/mafehnimnbbodfmifjfneljbcialmhcd - Amazon Ads data is synced through the official Amazon Ads API once the user connects their Ads account: spend, ad-attributed units and sales, Kindle Unlimited pages read and KU royalties generated by ads, ad impressions and ad clicks. - Net profit is computed server-side with automatic multi-currency FX conversion, KDP withholding tax, and per-marketplace ad VAT/GST. - Amazon customer reviews are read by the same Chrome extension from the storefronts the user is signed in to; there is no public Amazon reviews API. - Smart links are served from the dedicated short domain bkto.link (its bare root explains itself at /docs/app/smart-links); the reader's country comes from the edge request and is intersected with the storefronts the book's format is actually sold on. ## Product & Account - Billing runs on Stripe. Every account starts a mandatory 14-day free trial with no card required; there is no free plan, and payment is required after the trial ends. - Marketing and SEO live on the apex host (trueroyalties.com); the authenticated app and all sign-in/sign-up flows live on kdp.trueroyalties.com. - One account maps to one user and one workspace. ## Key Links - [Pricing](https://trueroyalties.com/pricing) - Plans and subscription pricing. - [Chrome extension: TrueRoyalties Connector](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/mafehnimnbbodfmifjfneljbcialmhcd) - Imports KDP royalties (required data source). - [Verified KDP authors](https://trueroyalties.com/verified) - Public directory of authors publishing verified royalty figures. - [Feedback](https://feedback.kdp.trueroyalties.com) - Feature requests and support portal. - [Roadmap](https://feedback.kdp.trueroyalties.com/roadmap) - What is planned next. - [Changelog](https://feedback.kdp.trueroyalties.com/changelog) - What shipped recently. ## Languages The site is published in 7 languages. Each entry links to that feature's documentation rather than repeating it. Also states what the product never does: it is read-only on Amazon and changes no book, price, campaign or bid. - [Pricing](https://trueroyalties.com/pricing) - Plans and subscription pricing. - [Kindle Unlimited page-read rates](https://trueroyalties.com/kindle-unlimited-page-rates) - What Amazon paid per KENP page read, by month and by Kindle store, since 2015, in any currency. Amazon publishes only the total size of the KDP Select Global Fund — never the per-page rate and never a per-store breakdown — so every rate is derived from real KDP accounts. Months Amazon has not settled yet are marked as estimates. - [KENP calculator (Kindle Unlimited pages read to royalties)](https://trueroyalties.com/kenp-calculator) - Turns a book's KENP page count into what Kindle Unlimited pays for it, in any of the twelve Amazon stores that have a published rate, and converts every store into one currency for comparison. It multiplies by the same monthly rate history that backs the Kindle Unlimited page-rate page rather than a hardcoded constant, so it follows Amazon each month; it answers with the most recent month Amazon has SETTLED — never the current, unannounced one — and shows the low and the high of the last twelve settled months beside it. It applies Amazon's own ceiling of 3,000 KENP read per title per customer, which a plain pages-times-rate multiplication overstates on any longer book, and states when it has. Optional inputs turn it into the author's own figures: a month's pages read, and the royalty of one paid sale, which yields how many complete read-throughs equal one sale. Runs in the browser; nothing typed into it is sent anywhere. - [Amazon book sales calculator (BSR to sales)](https://trueroyalties.com/amazon-book-sales-calculator) - Turns an Amazon Best Sellers Rank into the daily and monthly sales it implies, for any Kindle or print store, entirely in the browser and without an account. It answers with a RANGE rather than a single figure, on purpose: TrueRoyalties joined real Amazon rank histories to the KDP royalty reports behind them and found a rank alone can be wrong about sales by a factor of 25, so the page publishes the curve it uses, states which parts are measured (the log-log shape, fitted at beta 0.66 to 1.39; the print-versus-Kindle gap) and which are estimates (the absolute level for the US Kindle store, the per-store size factors), and shows the two books that were actually joined. Optional list price and royalty rate turn the unit range into a royalty range using the author's own numbers. - [Amazon KDP royalty calculator](https://trueroyalties.com/amazon-kdp-royalty-calculator) - Works out what a KDP book actually pays its author, for a Kindle ebook, a paperback or a hardcover, entirely in the browser and without an account. Unlike Amazon's own Printing Costs and Royalty Calculator — which is print-only, answers one storefront per submission and explicitly excludes Expanded Distribution — it covers all three formats, shows every storefront at once with each one's printing cost and minimum list price in its own currency, and lists what each price along a range would pay so the rate steps are visible. Every constant is Amazon's own published figure, read from KDP's help pages and dated on the page: paperback and hardcover printing costs (fixed cost plus per-page cost, by ink, trim class and store, including the flat sub-110-page band), the 50%/60% print bands per store, the 35%/70% ebook options with the per-megabyte delivery fee, the ebook price bands including the 70% window raised from $9.99 to $12.99 on Amazon.com on 7 July 2026, VAT rates per European store (with Italy's 4% with an ISBN versus 22% without), and the minimum list price KDP will accept — which is derived from the printing cost rather than fixed, so it rises with page count. It also solves the reverse question (the cheapest price that reaches a target royalty per copy) and, for a Kindle ebook, shows what a full read earns in Kindle Unlimited using the derived per-page rate from the TrueRoyalties rate history. - [Free QR code generator](https://trueroyalties.com/qr-code-generator) - Builds a customisable QR code (colours, module and eye shapes, logo, frame and caption, square or circular) entirely in the browser: nothing is uploaded and no account is required. What sets it apart is the check it runs on every change — it renders the finished artwork, shrinks it to phone-camera size, decodes it back to confirm the data survived the design, and separately scores the foreground/background contrast against the 4.5:1 print standard. Exports SVG and PNG. Aimed at print, where a QR code cannot be corrected after the run. - [Free ISBN barcode generator (Bookland EAN)](https://trueroyalties.com/isbn-barcode-generator) - Turns an ISBN into the barcode printed on the back of a paperback or hardcover, entirely in the browser and without an account: vector PDF (100% black in DeviceGray, the single-ink black print requires), vector SVG carrying real millimetres, or PNG at 300 or 600 PPI. Accepts ISBN-13 and ISBN-10 (converted, with the author's own hyphens carried across), completes a missing check digit, and reports a wrong one without correcting it. It measures every barcode against Amazon KDP's published cover rules — suggested 2 x 1.2 in (50.8 x 30.5 mm), minimum 1.4 x 0.8 in, 0.25 in clear of the spine and trim — and can pad the file to that exact box. The 5-digit price add-on follows the Book Industry Study Group's 2004 rules rather than the obsolete tables most generators still ship: 50001-59998 for US$0.01-99.98, 10000-49999 for US$100.00-499.99 (a range reassigned FROM the old Australian and New Zealand digits, so encoding an Australian price there now reads as a US price), 59999 above the ceiling, 90000 for no encoded price. It also decodes an existing 5-digit block and says what a till reads it as. It does not issue ISBNs. - [Free resources](https://trueroyalties.com/resources) - Index of the free, account-free tools for KDP authors: the KDP royalty calculator, the KENP calculator, the ISBN barcode generator, the QR code generator, the Kindle Unlimited page-rate history and the Amazon book sales calculator. - [Documentation](https://trueroyalties.com/docs) - Human documentation index.
