It changes every month and differs by store. On Amazon.com it has stayed between roughly $0.0040 and $0.0050 a page for years — about $4 to $5 per 1,000 pages read. The table above has every month since 2015.
No. Once a month Amazon announces one figure — the total size of the KDP Select Global Fund — and never a rate, never a per-store split. Every KENP rate quoted anywhere, including here, is worked out by dividing Kindle Unlimited royalties by pages read.
Amazon announces the fund around the 15th of the following month. Until then every figure published anywhere is an estimate, so we mark those months EST instead of presenting them as settled.
Usually because of where and when you were read: each store pays its own rate, and a date range covering several months blends them. Amazon also pays bonuses to some titles, which lifts an account's effective rate above the market one.
No. Each store pays in its own currency, at its own rate. We keep each figure in the currency Amazon paid it in and convert only for display, at the exchange rate from the last day of the month shown — so the same month always converts to the same number.
Divide your Kindle Unlimited royalties by your KENP pages read, for one store and one month, on your KDP dashboard. The larger the account, the more precise the answer, because KDP rounds royalties to the cent.
