1. Who We Are and Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Nabulsee LLC ("we", "us" or "our") handles personal information in connection with TrueRoyalties, including our website (trueroyalties.com), web application, mobile applications, browser extension and related services (together, the "Service").

Nabulsee LLC is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.

This policy is written in English. Translations are provided for convenience only; in the event of any inconsistency or dispute, the English version prevails.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we collect the following categories of information:

Account information, such as your name, email address, login credentials and preferences.
Billing information, such as your plan, transaction history and billing details. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by us.
Information from connected accounts. When you connect a publishing, distribution or advertising platform, we collect the information needed to provide the Service, such as account identifiers and names, book and catalogue information, sales, royalty, reading, payment, tax and advertising information, together with the credentials, tokens or session information required to access it.
Information collected by our browser extension, as described in Section 3.
Content you provide, such as information you enter into the Service, profile information you choose to publish, feedback and communications with us.
Information about other people processed through the Service at your direction, such as publicly available information relating to your books and technical information about visitors to links you create.
Technical and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, referring pages, diagnostic information and your interactions with the Service, which may include recordings of your sessions.
Marketing and referral information, such as the advertisement, campaign or referral link through which you reached us.

Providing an email address is required to create an account. Connecting accounts is optional, but parts of the Service cannot work without it.

You may only connect accounts that you are authorized to use. If you provide or make available information about other people through the Service, you are responsible for complying with applicable law, including any notice or consent requirements.

3. Browser Extension

This section describes how the TrueRoyalties browser extension handles user data. The rest of this policy also applies.

3.1 Data collection

Depending on the features you use, the extension collects:

Authentication information: the access token that links the extension to your TrueRoyalties account and, for the platforms you choose to connect, the sign-in session information (such as cookies and similar session data) needed to access your account on those platforms. The extension does not collect the passwords you type.
Financial information: sales, royalty, reading, payment and tax information from the accounts you connect.
Personally identifiable information: identifiers and names associated with the accounts you connect.
Website content: information about your books displayed on platform and store pages, such as titles, identifiers, images, rankings and publicly available reviews, and the content of pages you ask us to check.

Some information is processed only locally in your browser and is not transmitted. The extension does not collect your browsing history.

3.2 Data use

Data collected by the extension is used only to provide and improve the Service: establishing and maintaining the connections you request, accessing your connected accounts on your behalf, importing your information into your TrueRoyalties account and keeping it up to date, displaying your results and notifications, administering your account and subscription, and maintaining and securing the Service.

3.3 Data storage

Data collected by the extension is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored securely on servers operated by us or our service providers. The extension also stores limited information locally in your browser, such as connection details, settings and temporary data required for it to function; this local data is removed when you uninstall the extension. Data is retained as described in Section 9.

We do not sell data collected by the extension. We share it only:

with service providers that host, store, secure, analyze and operate the Service on our behalf;
with the platforms concerned, when we access your accounts on your behalf;
with third parties you direct us to share it with;
where necessary to comply with applicable law, or to protect against fraud, abuse or security threats; and
as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with your prior consent.

3.5 Limited Use

The use of information received through the TrueRoyalties browser extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

provide, operate, maintain and improve the Service;
create and manage your account, authenticate you and provide support;
access the accounts you connect and import, process and display your information;
process payments, manage subscriptions and operate our referral program;
communicate with you, including service messages and, where permitted, marketing messages;
analyze the use of the Service and measure the effectiveness of our own marketing;
secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms; and
comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Subject to Section 3, we may create aggregated, de-identified or anonymized information, which does not identify you and which we may use for any lawful purpose.

5. Legal Bases

Where the law of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland applies, we process personal information on the following legal bases: the performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests, such as operating, securing, improving and promoting the Service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; your consent, where required, which you may withdraw at any time without affecting prior processing; and compliance with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. Subject to Section 3, we disclose information only as follows:

Service providers that process information on our behalf, such as providers of hosting, data storage, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, security, customer support and feedback, and referral program services. We require them to protect personal information in a manner consistent with this policy.
Connected platforms, when we access your accounts on your behalf.
Advertising partners, to which we may disclose limited information, such as identifiers, to measure the effectiveness of our own advertising. Information from your connected accounts is not disclosed for this purpose.
Referral partners, which may be informed that a person they referred signed up or subscribed.
At your direction, for example when you publish a public profile, post content on a public page, or authorize an application or API key to access your account.
Legal and safety reasons, where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or legal process, or necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Nabulsee LLC, our users or others, or to prevent fraud, abuse or security threats.
Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets.
With your consent, or as otherwise disclosed to you at the time of collection.

7. Data Storage and Security

Information is stored on servers operated by us or our service providers. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information. You are responsible for keeping secure your login credentials and the email account associated with your account.

8. International Transfers

We are based in the United States. Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as necessary to comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our agreements and maintain business records. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Account information: you can review and update your account information in the Service.
Connected accounts: you can disconnect a connected account at any time from the Service or from the settings of the platform concerned; we then stop accessing that account.
Account deletion: you can delete your account at any time from the Service; your information is then deleted or anonymized as described in Section 9.
Browser extension: you can uninstall the extension or remove its permissions at any time from your browser settings.
Marketing: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link they contain. We may still send you messages related to the Service.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw your consent, and to opt out of certain disclosures, including any "sale" or "sharing" as defined by applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise your rights, contact us at hello [at] trueroyalties [dot] com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we may decline a request where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, analyze usage, attribute referrals and measure the effectiveness of our marketing. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, our cookie preferences. The Service does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service connects to, and may link to, third-party services that we do not control, such as publishing, distribution, advertising and payment platforms. Their handling of your information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

13. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated policy takes effect when it is posted, as indicated by the "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will notify you of material changes. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
