Connect your data/Chrome extension

Chrome extension

The TrueRoyalties Connector reads your KDP reports from your own browser. What it installs, what it can see, and what it cannot.

What it is

TrueRoyalties Connector is the small browser extension that fetches your KDP reports. It is required: KDP has no public API, so there is no other way to read your royalties.

Install it from the Chrome Web Store. It works on Chrome, Brave and Arc. Other browsers are not supported yet.

What it does

  • Reads your KDP royalty, order and KENP reports, using the KDP session already open in your browser.
  • Sends them to your TrueRoyalties account.
  • Copies your book covers so the app can display them.
  • Reads your Amazon customer reviews (see Reviews).
  • Shows a browser notification on a new sale, if you turn that on.

What it cannot do

  • It never sees your Amazon password. It uses a session you opened yourself.
  • It never writes anything to Amazon — no price change, no campaign edit.
  • It only runs on kdpreports.amazon.com, Amazon storefronts and TrueRoyalties.

Its permission list is deliberately short: storage, alarms, notifications, and the request headers it needs to talk to KDP.

Checking it is connected

Click the extension icon. The popup shows whether it is connected to your account and when it last synced.

Inside the app, Settings → Connections shows the same status, plus a Sync now button.

Updates

Chrome updates the extension on its own. You never need to reinstall it.
