KDP royalties
What TrueRoyalties imports from KDP, how the first full-history import works, and why one KDP account maps to one TrueRoyalties account.
What is imported
From your KDP reports, three families of data:
- Royalties — the money, per book, per marketplace, per day, in the currency Amazon paid it in.
- Orders — units ordered, by format (ebook, paperback, hardcover).
- KENP — Kindle Unlimited pages read.
Together they cover paid sales, Kindle Unlimited and Expanded Distribution.
The first import
The first sync pulls your entire history, back to the creation of your KDP account — not just the current month. On a large catalog it can take several minutes, and it continues even if you switch tabs.
Every later sync only re-reads the last 60 days, which is the window Amazon can still revise. Older data is already stored and never re-downloaded.
You must be signed in to KDP
The extension borrows the session in your browser. If you are signed out of KDP, the import cannot run and the app tells you so. Sign in, and it resumes on its own.
One KDP account, one TrueRoyalties account
A KDP account can be linked to a single TrueRoyalties account, and the link is permanent. It protects your royalty data and keeps trials honest.
If you connect a KDP account that is already linked elsewhere, setup stops and explains which case you hit:

| Account unverified | The Amazon account signed in is not a KDP account, or its setup is incomplete |

Changing the reporting currency
KDP returns amounts converted to the currency you ask for. When you change your reporting currency, TrueRoyalties re-imports the full history in that currency so past and present agree. See Taxes and currencies.
